Pizza and Movie Night

Last night I went out with my sister, Heleen and her boyfriend Mario. We went to see The Hangover part 2, it was pretty funny, thought it was kind of like the first one though, but still as good…
Before the movie we had pizza at Mimmo’s in Menlyn where I saw the coolest chandelier they made of polaroid photos, and I thought it was such a cool idea, I loved it. The manager even gave me their head office's number to find out how they made it, but it looks pretty easy! Check it out:

This is amazing! Overall the night was awesome, I had a lovely time with my Lovely sister. They told me all about their vacation in Mozambique, they went to Strap (a Jazz and Acoustic Festival), it sounds wonderful, would love to go there myself sometime! They stages was built on the beach with the Acoustic Stage next to a bar on the beach, the first night there was a beach party! Sound amazing right!?

Castle Light beer that Mario and I had! Wonderful as always! :) Oh, and Mimmo’s in Menlyn, is definitely the best one, it so much prettier than the other Mimmo’s.

Things I Love Mondays

Hi everyone, I thought I’d start a weekly post called “Things I Love Mondays”, I always find things on the internet that I adore and would like to share them with you. I’ve seen a bunch of these kind of posts all over blogs, usually on Fridays and thought I’d like to try it out. Without further stalling here’s the few things I love today.


I love this idea, and would definitely love to try this out sometime. Your own drive-in in the backyard, popcorn, wine, old movies and the lovely candles on a summer night = absolutely magnificent!

Adorable right!? Get a bowl of water, pour little bits of all the different shades you want, it should float on the top, swirl with a toothpick or something like it and when it looks like you want on top of the water, then dip your nails through the water... Can't wait to try this! :).. Anyways, but it’s gorgeous! I love it!

Cake and Tea Party

Snaps from the Weekend

This is the most beautiful place I came across so close to our home; Rademeyers in Pretoria. My lovely cousin Carmen asked me to join her at a kitchen tea. Both of us didn’t know anyone there! The only reason Carmen was invited is because it’s her Husbands best friend’s wife-to-be’s kitchen tea (did you get that? almost like a friend of a friend of a friend… so awkward…). She thought it would be fun to tag me along, since she doesn’t know anybody. So awkward, to begin, we didn’t know anyone, when we got there everyone bought her HUGE gifts and we got her a vase with a rose and kitchen towels, (think some of the gifts the other guests got her was things like a washing machine and pots and pans and boxes and boxes of kitchen appliances) we felt like idiots! We luckily sat at a table with friendly girls all of them much older than we are, Carmen and I actually just ate and left as soon as we can, coming up with the excuse that we had another place to be, I would’ve loved taking more photos there, because that place is absolutely gorgeous, but we were in such a hurry to get away from the awkwardness. But all in all, the food and the place was awesome, but next time I visit Rademeyers it’ll be with a better crowd of people… I hope!

Lovely rose from our garden! Fell in love with this rose, can’t believe it will die soon… :(

These I also got from our garden, the first day we moved in, our neighbour, (a little grey old lady), planted these in our garden, and this is the first time they bloomed! Pretty right?

Drinks at Bugatti’s with a Friend

Yesterday was Public Holiday in South Africa, Vote day. Unfortunately I was unable to vote, I forgot that I was registered in Groblersdal, and I’m surely not going to spend 4 hours on the road just to vote, so instead, my friend Corlia and I went for a few drinks at Bugatti’s, I kept her from her studies (Oops!), she wrote Criminology today (she’s studying to become a journalists, her final year).  I had so much fun taking photos, especially of the flowers just outside of Bugatti’s.  It was great to get out for a change, I spent my whole weekend in bed watching movies, so it was awesome getting outside, and yesterday was such a gorgeous day!
