Sunday was Katinka’s actual birthday, I still can’t believe she turned 3 this year! Time truly flies… A few family members joined us at my parent’s home to celebrate her birthday as well as eat soup and sherry…

Katinka’s 3rd birthday party

On Saturday was Katinka’s 3rd birthday party, my sister’s little daughter, I can’t believe she’s gotten so big!! Her actual birthday was on Sunday. I must say, those 3 year olds can be really tiring :) Here’s a few photos from her birthday party:

There was also a photobooth, my sister painted for the kids to match the theme of the party, which was Lollos and Lettie. I took a picture of each kid in the photobooth, but these four was my favourite…

Irene Farm

About 2 weekends ago, Karlien, Katinka and Andre came to visit us in Pretoria, so we went to Irene Farm the Sunday morning and ate the wonderful buffet breakfast, it was absolutely wonderful and Irene Farm is so beautiful. I think Katinka might have enjoyed it the most of all of us.

Way back when… it was Christmas

Since I have so much catching up to do, I thought I’d start out with Christmas, since I didn’t post about it and since that was the last time I actually done anything on my blog. So here goes, on Christmas eve we as a family came together at my cousin’s home on the farm in Groblersdal, we ate a lovely dinner and opened up some presents, we amused the kids with Mario as Santa Clause.

(Katinka thought the light was a microphone like Jan-Hendrik’s.Mario played along as Santa Clause and I was Santa’s helper, unfortunately Mario is new to the family so I helped him along with everyone’s names.

The next day on Christmas day, we went to my Cousin, Melanie’s home, also on a farm, we had a wonderful Christmas lunch and spent time with the family, some of those who couldn’t make it to the Christmas Eve dinner. Yeah, Christmas with our family is mostly about food, loads and loads of food :)

I Know this is a little too far back, but this was such a wonderful time and amazing to be able to spend it with my wonderful family.
